Back to civilization

After an oustanding 6 1/2h passage with 15 to 20kts winds and 7 to 9kts speed over ground from the end of the world to Psara I've finally returned to the civilized world. Successfully performed my second single handed Med mooring maneuver. Met a German guy, Ditmar, also a single handed sailor, at the pier and we had a few anchor beers together. Sheep at the beach (and only sheep and Starlink)

Just found an anchorage for the night, had been to another beautiful bay called Glyfada on Sarakino island but it was way to narrow to anchor for the night so I moved on to an unnamed bay on Skyros. Luckily I'm note entireliy alone here since there are some sheep at the nearby beach. Other than that life still has to discover this piece of Earth. Anchor down in Pevko Bay on Skyros, Greece

Found a nice bay in Pevko on Skyros for the night after a 7h passage from Skopelos. Tight to a mooring first but then decided it to be unsafe hence threw the anchor close by. Now heading out for dinner in the bays small tavern :-) Nach 7h Ueberfahrt von Skopelos nun eine schoene Bucht fuer die Nacht bei Pevko auf Skyros gefunden, erst an Mooring festgemacht diese dann aber fuer nicht gut befunden ...

A frightening wake up call

This morning I was in the process of waking up when a really really loud horn sounded very close by – walked up on deck I found a large (compared to the small bay) ferry docking with a captain probably angry of the two stupi... yacht skippers anchoring in his way. Luckily I decided to anchor closer to the shore than the other yacht 😉

First single handed Med Mooring maneuver - mastered

Arrived in Skiathos today and mastered my first single handed Med Mooring maneuver, luckily there wasn't a lot of wind and luckily I had just put my new stern fender in place (touched the pier just gently and the fender saved me from scratches in the hull) - very exciting anyways.
